Olivia is an Application Specialist with Spartan Controls on the Environment Solutions team. Olivia has experience leading funding program initiatives and assisting industry partners with their emissions reduction goals through the deployment of Spartan’s clean technology portfolio.
She graduated from the University of Calgary with an Energy Engineering degree and also holds a Petroleum Engineering Technology diploma from SAIT Polytechnic. Olivia leads the Green Team at Spartan Controls which focuses on reducing Spartan’s footprint across each of their 14 facilities.
After nearly a decade in the energy industry, Spencer has developed an immense appreciation for the energy systems we depend on today, and a passion for understanding how they are evolving to meet our needs in the future. As a Commercial Advisor in Suncor’s low carbon fuels business, Spencer spends his days leading the development and deployment of cutting-edge energy transition technologies.

Johnny started his career in energy in 2012, working for oilfield service companies both big and small. His passion for energy began in 2015 when he moved to Calgary and quickly realized he knew nothing about the industry outside of fossil fuels. He spent the next several years trying to change that, with a great deal of help from the content created by ENERGYminute.
Johnny joined the team at ENERGYminute in 2021 and has loved sharing thought-provoking stories about energy, technology outer space, and the environment.
Jennifer is a site-based engineer with Cenovus Energy, supporting optimization and safe operation of the steam and water plant at the Christina Lake SAGD facility. She graduated from the University of Calgary with a degree in Chemical Engineering and has also worked in production and reservoir engineering.
Jennifer leads a committee within Cenovus’ internal Diversity & Inclusion network and is an active volunteer with Water Movement and the Calgary Public Library.
